Voice
Read the text
I wish to speak a word for Nature, for absolute Freedom and Wildness, as contrasted with a freedom and culture merely civil,—to regard man as an inhabitant, or a part and parcel of Nature, rather than a member of society. I wish to make an extreme statement, if so I may make an emphatic one, for there are enough champions of civilization: the minister and the school committee and every one of you will take care of that.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. You don't enter a card, and the free plan has no end date.
Which sites work?
Any blog or newsletter with a feed. That includes Substack, WordPress, Ghost, Medium, and Blogger. You can also paste a link to one article.
What do the voices sound like?
Play any of the 9 above. They're American and British voices from Kokoro, an open speech model.
Can I hear a writer's older articles?
Yes. When you follow a writer, you can pick from what they've already published.
Can I listen offline?
Yes. Download a recording, and it plays without a connection.
Can I share a recording?
Yes. Send anyone a link, or put the player on your own site.
Can I get new recordings by email?
Yes. Turn on email for a feed, and we'll tell you when new articles are ready.
Can I listen in my podcast app?
Yes. Settings gives you a private link to add in Apple Podcasts, Overcast, or Pocket Casts. Spotify can't add private links.
Who sees what I add?
Only you, unless you share a recording. We don't sell your data or train AI on your library. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time.
